2022 Scarpa Syrah

The Syrah at Cortese Vineyard in Coombsville is planted in pure lava rock, which explains its powerful personality. Due to its southern location in the Valley and its northern exposure, it sailed through the heat In 2022 with aplomb, producing a dynamite, vibrant, purple storm of Syrah aromatics and flavors including blueberry, blackberry, amarena cherry, black olive, jasmine and black pepper. Power, purity and poise are all on display with not one tannin out of place on the rich, long finish.

  • 100% Syrah
  • 100% from 1989 and 1990’s plantings at Cortese Vineyard in Coombsville
  • Cool climate Napa Syrah
  • Exotically spicy and fruity

Reviews
Black and blue fruits, cassis, black pepper, and sappy herbs all emerge from the 2022 Syrah Scarpa, a 100% Syrah that's medium to full-bodied, fresh, and focused, with an elegant mouthfeel and integrated acidity. It has length and finesse and will drink beautifully over the coming decade.
