2022 La Place Cabernet Sauvignon

The La Place vineyard lies among the great Napa Valley vineyards off Silverado Trail just north of Larkmead Lane. Here the deep, volcanic cobble yields Cabernets of amazing power, balance and finesse. 2022 is no exception with 3 different clones of Cabernet creating a symphony of aromatics and flavors. From the dark, red-black color, to the hugely fruity nose of red currant, dark cherry, sassafrass, incense, pannetone and woodsmoke, to the long, plush finish with the softest of tannins, this wine will immediately charm you.

Reviews
Coming from the La Place Vineyard in Calistoga, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon La Place Vineyard (98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot) delivers a beautiful array of redcurrants, new leather, incense, and floral notes intermixed with chocolate accents. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it shows a ripe, layered texture and fine tannins, with compelling depth and juicy energy. Aged 20 months in 100% new French oak, this impressive release will drink nicely for 10-12 years.
