This wine hails from the insanely terraced, steep plantings of Grenache at Paras Vineyard, a true anomaly near the top of Mt. Veeder. Here, the cooler climate and shale soils combine to make a rare Napa Valley Grenache, full of freshness, clarity, richness and depth. Aromatics of strawberry jam, raspberry coulis, cherry compote, allspice and a hint of black pepper soar from the glass. The palate is dense and layered with sweet, powerful flavors echoing the bouquet. The finish is framed by noble tannins, sending the finish to the moon.
