2021 Old Vines Petite Sirah

The color is a dense black-purple, deep to the core. As is often the case with these old vines, the aromatics soar from the glass with more of a sense of terroir than pure varietal character, displaying dusty bramble, white pepper, dried thyme and rosemary, along with the dense purple blackberry fruit. On the palate, this wine shows more refinement and nuance than most Petite Sirahs, with very fine tannins framing the layered and energetic palate, leading to a cool, refined and long finish. 25 cases from one barrel.
