We are thrilled to present to you this Pinot Noir from the famous Rice-Spivak vineyard. This is one of the latest ripening, cool vineyards on the Sonoma Coast, southeast of Sebastopol. The 777 clone vines are planted in pure Goldridge soil, and the wines are extremely aromatic. We fermented this with 30% whole cluster for extra spice, and the wine shows a lot of complexity. Aromas of Bing cherry, dark raspberry, Chinese 5 spice, cracked white pepper, white flowers and underbrush fill the glass. The palate is intense, layered, silky and framed by bright acidity, giving this aromatic wine exceptional length on the smooth finish. 1 barrel produced 24 cases.
