2012 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

The 2012 Sonoma Coast is the cuvée from our veteran source perched in the hills east of the town of Petaluma, formerly called Avion. Unfortunately, we have had to discontinue the use of the name, but the source remains the same. This rocky volcanic site always yields a rich, dense style with dark fruit and spice galore. Planted in the early 2000’s, Clone 667 with a bit of 115, great choices for this site, provide spice and floral lift for the wine, bringing it into balance nicely every year. Aromas of smoky cherries, deep raspberry confiture, sassafras, white pepper and vanilla fill the glass. A deep, sensual style emerges on the palate with a rich feel and ultra-soft tannins.
